Formerly known as Baker Refrigeration Ltd., the firm started out strictly as a refrigeration (commercial) and air conditioning (residential) company until 1991. That year Mike Baker foresaw that the future in home comfort included not only cooling but also residential heating needs, which would eventually gravitate towards high efficiency gas heating. Residential high efficiency heating technology was in its infancy at the time, but it was not hard to determine that this was the wave of the future.
