A lightly wooded forest provides the backdrop for this stunning home, built into the side of a steep lot that required over a month of careful blasting and rock removal. This was the first house in Whistler to apply for Step 4 of the BC Energy Step Code, making it one of the most energy-efficient homes in the area. We collaborated with the architect on the design of the house. A reverse floor plan makes maximum use of natural light, with each interior space carefully designed to take full advantage of the sun throughout the day. The ground floor’s impressive entry leads to practical utility spaces for all the gear needed for Whistler’s adventurous lifestyle. The main floor is the centre of living and entertaining, while the top floor is defined by peaceful bedroom spaces with breathtaking views.
